Investment Sales Broker

 

Job Description/Requirements:

Seeking experienced commercial real estate salesperson (2+ years and/or proven track record of closed deals). Broker will work under sales leadership team on multi-family, retail, mixed-use, development and office building transactions ranging anywhere in size from $1 million to $500 million. You will be expected to generate leads, cultivate client relationships and interact with active New York City investment property investors and owners.

 

The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, as there is constant client interaction via telephone and in person. An aptitude for marketing is also essential, and candidate should have a eye for organizing and presenting information.  In addition, ability to research property details while analyzing and determining value are necessary skill sets along with attention to detail, organization and creativity. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Generating leads and setting up meetings through consistent phone prospecting, networking, and research

  • Develop thorough understanding of  the market, real estate fundamentals

  • Compiling a database of property owners: who's buying / selling, investor information, insights, and buying criteria

  • Creating property setups, helping to coordinate the marketing process and initiatives

  • Performing property evaluations and inspections, and compiling due diligence packets  

  • Negotiating existing deals

  • Researching comparable sales statistics and data on current market conditions and trends

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of either 2 years commercial property sales brokerage experience or proven track record of closed sale transactions required

  • Detail oriented, self-starter, well organized, and able to handle multiple projects

  • Ability to do consistent phone canvassing

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment both independently and on the team

  • Excellent communication & listening skills, both verbal and written

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Aptitude and/or interest in learning CRM software and sales tools, which may include Sage ACT!, Salesforce

  • NYS Real Estate Salesperson License

 

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Natural sales ability, poise and professional demeanor

  • Unbridled enthusiasm about selling real estate and perseverance to get beyond "no"

  • Aggressive prospecting skills and ability to canvass diligently for business

  • Some previous real estate, finance or sales experience

  • Strong research and organizational skills

  • Ability to be quick learners and proactive in cultivating new leads
